According to Hard Rock tournament manager Jason Heidenthal, the sight of so many players back in action at the property in January was particularly heartwarming after a challenging 2020. “After such a long time away from the felt, it was great to see all the friendly faces and people enjoying themselves playing for over $800,000and the chance to be a WPT champion,” says Heidenthal.

The upcoming Poker Showdown will not only mark the revival of live poker, but will also celebrate a successful 10-year partnership between the WPT and the Seminole Hard Rock. The property has become a popular stop on the tour. Furthermore, the event offers players the chance to participate in 29 Trophy events in addition to a packed satellite schedule. The series will also include a variety of events, such as the $600 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em, the $1,100 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em, and the $2,200 Deep Stack No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry, offering players different buy-in options and guarantees. Additionally, high rollers will find two events catering to bigger bankrolls, including the $25,500 event on April 26-27 and the $50,000 Super High Roller event on April 21-22.

The schedule for the event is as follows: $600Deep Stack No Limit’ Hold’em (April15), $1,100Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em, Single Re-Entry (April21), $2,200Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em Re-Entry (April22), and high roller events on April26-27 and April21-22. Satellite events for the championship event will begin on April17, and qualifiers for other events will start on April15. With the return of live poker, players have plenty to look forward to at the Seminole Hard Rock – the poker, the pool, the rock ‘n’ roll, and, of course, the fun.
